Position: DIRECTOR, SOCIAL & SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Department: Social & Special Programs/Executive Office
Reports to: President/CEO
Job Summary: Plan, develop, implement and provide oversight to service delivery and activities of various programs that form the Social and Special Programs Department to serve low-income/income eligible residents of Summit County. Responsibilities include: achieve compliance with Federal, State, Local, Agency and other related regulations/guidelines; provide direct supervision to mid-level management staff that oversee day-to-day operations of various service delivery/program areas; provide oversight and leadership with development of new programs and/or initiatives; develop, execute, monitor and amend departmental budget; supervise coordination of program areas funding applications and various complex financial and programmatic reports; provide technical assistance to staff in various administrative and operational areas; assist with lease and contractual negotiations; administer and provide oversight for building maintenance; represent agency through various community outreach/involvement participation; performs other duties as assigned
Requirements: Masters Degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field supplemented with coursework/experience in finance and/or management principles with five (5) years in an administrative/leadership role in a human services/non-profit organization; or equivalent combination of training and/or experience; budgeting/accounting background preferred. State of Ohio Driver’s License and transportation (some/frequent travel required); weekends as needed and/or required; fingerprint & background checks conducted; Summit County residency
Salary/Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience: $58,468.80 - $73,424.00

Position: CLERK TYPIST I
Program/Department: Social & Special Programs
Reports to: Director, Social & Special Programs or Designee
Job Summary: Under general supervision, serve as office/building receptionist for the facility with responsibilities that include: use of a multi-line telephon system to receive and route incoming calls; greet customers and/or visitors who enter the facility; ascertain nature of customers and/or visitors’ business, forward calls and/or direct customers and/or visitors to appropriate staff/program area; handle telephone and in-person inquiries regarding agency programs and services; conduct clerical/data entry duties; process customers and/or visitors’ concerns for supervisory/management action; assist with customers document verification, as directed; utilize computer software to enter, research and retrieve information; process incoming/outgoing departmental, agency-wide and US mail, as directed; prepare inventory of office supplies; perform other related duties, as assigned
Requirements: Completion of High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate or credential and demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in office practices, procedures and customer service that includes a minimum of six (6) months experience in a clerical/secretarial position with responsibilities that required the handling of multi-line telephone system and proficient computer/word processing aptitude (i.e. ability to work in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook); valid State of Ohio Driver’s License; Summit County residency. Job Summary: In accordance with established program standards, state and federal regulations, as applicable, work with infants and toddlers enrolled in the Early Head Start program to provide a safe, healthy and compliant environment for care and development. Overall responsibilities include: prepare and implement curriculum and age-appropriate developmental experiences; supervise children in the classroom and during other developmentally appropriate activities; write individual education plans, as applicable; conduct age-appropriate developmental screenings; conduct parent-teacher conferences and home visits; promote parent involvement in the classroom and/or center through implementation of center activities and parent meetings; track and report parent volunteer hours; conduct inventory of classroom equipment and supplies; maintain current record-keeping compliant with program procedures; attend staff meetings, training and workshops; perform other related duties as required
Requirements: Completion of post secondary education with a minimum of a Associate Degree (2-Year) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) /Child Development and two (2) years demonstrated experience working with infants/toddlers; must have a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and transportation, as position requires minimal travel; computer literacy; Summit County residency; fingerprint and background checks conducted
Pay Rate: $12.63 per/hr, Pay Level 8 (Degree: 2-year in ECE) $13.90 per/hr, Pay Level 9 (Degree: 4-year in ECE)
